What is Dittobit?
DittoBit is an online service that will allow you to backup your important data from your computer to our secure server. This will be done on the schedule you suggest (daily, multiple times a day, weekly…). You can backup all your financial records, documents, business records, photos and even any videos you have stored on there. Dittobit protects you against fire, theft, natural disasters or hardware failure. In addition to the backup service, Dittobit also allows you to access any files you have backed up from anywhere via an internet connection.
How is my data secured?
Before your data leaves your computer it is encoded with AES 128bit encryption. This method is the standard for the US Government and many other large institutions.
- Our secure data center is physically secure and has redundancy built in. If something happens to the power grid our backup generators or battery backups will be utilized.
- The encryption is seeded by a password that you choose. The level of security is so great that if you lose your password not even Dittobit support technicians will be able to access it. Absolutely no one will have access to your data unless they know that password.
How do I start a backup?
Put simply, you do nothing to initiate at backup. When Dittobit is installed it will be setup to run a backup based on the schedule you decide. Just make sure the computer is on and you have a connection to the Internet and Dittobit will backup all your important data. When the backup is complete you will receive an email notifying you that it has completed successfully.

What do you do with my data if I cancel my account?
The data will be removed from our servers upon cancellation of your account.
